Here are some  pictures of our "educational" trip to Niagara on the Lake in early 2006.  We enjoyed ourselves and learned everything about wine making and wine tasting!

Niagara on the Lake Wine Tour - Spring 2006

Wine Tour  Agenda -May 12, May 13, May 14th, 2006. 

Leave May 12th from. Bancroft Just Wine and Beer at 5 p.m. 

-  Arrive at Colonel Butler Inn Niagara -On - The- Lake approximately 10 p.m.
-  May 13th- Breakfast at the Colonel Butler Inn -available from 8.00 am,
-  Tour to begin at 10:15 a.m.
-  Arrive at the Strewn Winery for a tour and tasting at 10:30 a.m.
-  Strewn Winery is in an old fruit canning plant and has its own cooking school
Marynisen Estates for a visit and tasting. This winery is beautiful and can boast about its fantastic wines.
-  Lunch is at Qeeenston  Heights Restaurant overlooking the Niagara River, the U.S. and Wine Country far below. There will be a three-course luncheon at approximately 12:30 p.m. with salad or soup, a chicken, beef or fish entree and dessert with coffee or tea. They provide a great meal and the view is outstanding.
-  After a relaxing lunch, a short drive takes us to Chateau des Charmes for a wine tasting. This is one of the most modem wineries in North America and is advertised as Canada's only wine Chateau.
-  We will return to the Colonel Butler at approximately 3 p.m. There will be free time until we leave for dinner at 7:25- p.m. at the Kiely Inn. Dinner can be selected. from the menu and includes a number of superb dishes, such as, surf and turf.

Everyone is responsible for any alcoholic beverages with their meals.
